A research company expects over 2.4 billion devices will ship by 2013 and another report indicates that consumers are clamoring for Bluetooth on their devices.
With the amount of Bluetooth devices in the world, it shouldn't surprise anyone that Bluetooth will take a part in the development of future devices.
Devices nowadays are coming standard with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, but the big key factors in the industry come from the Bluetooth headsets.
VNunet.com reports on a research company where an analyst predicts a bright future for Bluetooth and where 2.4 billion devices will ship worldwide by the year 2013.
"Integration is a key trend in Bluetooth markets," said ABI Research senior analyst Douglas McEuen.
"Designers are saying that Bluetooth is in everything, and are asking what else they can add to the Bluetooth chip. GPS is a popular candidate, as is FM radio."
One of the things that interested me was the request for an FM radio AND GPS by the designers of these devices.
In addition, ABI Research also released a report about Cameras, Bluetooth, and Music Top Consumers' Lists as "Must Have" Features on Mobile Phones, propelling Bluetooth even more into the stratosphere of must-have wireless technology.
